Our Mission

Christ the Rock Fellowship is a non-denominational, full-Gospel church birthed by a prophetic vision and founded by Pastors Douglas and Patricia Ruthford in 1980. As a church that loves to worship, we are blessed with fine musicians and singers who lead us into God’s presence. We also love and revere the scriptures, God’s Word. Anointed preaching and teaching comes not only from our pastoral staff, but from a wide variety of international ministries who visit on a regular basis. Our focus is on the Lord through prayer, intercession, evangelism and missions. We want to see God’s love extended to everyone everywhere. God answers prayer and is a miracle working God. We know that you too can have miracles in your life.

Christ the Rock has the fivefold ministries available to you and your family. Our hearts and the doors of this church are open to you. Every fellowship and ministry is available to minister to you and presents opportunities for you to become involved.

If you need a church home you are welcome to join Christ the Rock Fellowship. We have an informal membership for those who choose only to attend and fellowship, and membership classes for those who wish to become confirmed members. The Pastoral Staff is available to answer your questions; please feel free to call or visit the church office. If you would prefer, we would be delighted to visit your home at your invitation.

In His love,

We Believe...

The Bible is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, without error, and profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness. (II Timothy 3:16)

Jesus is Lord, demonstrated by His virgin birth, sinless life, death on the cross, burial, and resurrection from the dead. (Romans 10:9-10; Romans 1:4)

There is one God–The Father, The Son & The Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ is God come in the flesh. (John 14:6; Ephesians 1:17; II Corinthians 13:14; I John 4:2; Galatians 4:4-6)

Salvation is by grace through faith in the perfect, sinless sacrifice (the shedding of blood) of the Lord Jesus Christ and His eternal resurrection from the dead. Salvation is a gift given to those who repent of their sins, openly confess Jesus as their Lord, and who believe in their heart God raised Jesus from the dead. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 2:38; 3:19-20; 4:12; Romans 3:23; 10:9-10)

All Christian disciples should be baptized by immersion in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the Lord Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:10-20; Acts 2:38)

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the demonstration of God’s power through the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We believe in Divine Healing, Casting Out Devils, Miracles, Tongues, Interpretation, Prophecy and the Laying on of Hands. (Acts 2:3-4; I Corinthians 12, 13, 14; Hebrews 6:2)

Every Christian should manifest the fruit of the Spirit, becoming mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. (I Corinthians 14; Galatians 5:22; Ephesians 4:11-12)

There is a literal heaven and hell. (Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:42-48; Hebrews 6:2)

The Lord Jesus Christ will return soon. (Matthew 26:64; Acts 1:11; I Thes. 4:13-18; 5:1-3)

All Believers are called to be witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea (at home) and in Samaria (neighboring cities) and unto the uttermost part of the earth. (Mark 16:15-18; Acts 1:8; Revelation 12:11)

We should care for the poor, widows, orphans and those who are suffering from hunger, homelessness or other physical needs. We believe in caring for the needs of the Body of Christ, in loving our neighbors and in loving one another. (Matthew 25:35-40; John 13:34-35; James 1:27; Galatians 6:10)

The Fivefold Ministry of the Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Teachers and Evangelists is meant for the Church today with the foundation being the ministry of the Apostles and Prophets. These callings are the authority gifts to the Church that the Saints might be strengthened and equipped to do every good work. (I Corinthians 12:28; Ephesians 2:20; 4:11-13)
